Information
Eerste Divisie, contested by 20 clubs, is a double round-robin competition. Each club plays the others twice, once at home and once away. Teams receive three points for a win and one point for a draw. No points are awarded for a loss. The winner will directly go to the subsequent season’s Eredivisie(except for the youth). The second to ninth places in the standings will participate in the promotion play-offs. The first round will be played between the sixth place and the ninth place. The winner will meet the second place and the fifth place in the semi-finals, and the winners will go to the final. In the end, the winner of the Holland Jupiler League play-offs will compete with the third-to-last in the play-offs for a place in the next season’s Eredivisie. There has no relegation in Holland Jupiler League since the 2017-18 season.
